Smart studying – Ways to study

For all of those students out there, no matter they are first grader or high school teenagers or even College students going after higher educations, most of them come across the same problem, when it comes to study, it is really hard to get it done as it is not attractive to our mind and is really time consuming. For those who want to study, they still encounter the problem that when they sit down, they don’t know where to start with. These problems are common and the main reason why they happen is because most students don’t have a well studying habit. When it comes to getting things done, it is always recommendable to have a well develop organization, or plan so everything has it time and place. Here is a sequence of how to study which might help most of the student out there when it comes to dealing with education. It has three main components, Time Control, Class room Note-Taking, and Textbook Study.

By time control we refer to the organizing and planning of your time. A lot of student has the bad habit to procrastinate the work as long as possible, that includes me in more then one occasion. These create pressure and a rush to finish a work when it is almost due, and we all know that things done in a hurry aren’t as good...

And always note the examples of the instructor; examples are important as it help explain the abstract ideas so they are also important. After all these, you can study the notes and the makings on the textbook, but make sure that you do not just read them but also repeating a self testing process; keep on closing the notes and books and try to see if you can remember what you just read. Secondly, you can start planning a weekly or even a daily schedule. Watch for emphasis like definitions, enumerations, etc. Things that you would highlight on the textbook are definitions, enumerations and emphasis words. as those done with preparation and efforts. Get a calendar with space for you to make notes, make one if you can’t find any. Write down main ideas of what is in the text and in your own word, that way, you will remember it better. You can also try marking down things on the book; use a highlighter to identify important information from the rest of the flying ideas or make a symbol at the margin identifying something as important. If you are going to do the weekly schedule, make it every Sunday night. If he took the time to put it down in written, it is probably that is important. To be able to take class notes, first of all, you have to attend to classes. This should give you a general idea of what the text is all about.
